Whoa! Hold on there, AA does not use any modifiers. Did I miss mentioning that in the rules?

Yep. There's no mention of it in the rules.

Right, fixed it and the new 1.4 rulebook PDF now says: "AA attacks work almost the same as normal gunnery with the exception that none of the usual modifiers of range, cover, etc. are applied (AA can still be subject to Command Station orders that affect it)."

So there you are, you do not apply target modifiers; its in the rules! :D

Have you clarified that a weapon system is one line? If not your work is not done.
Btw, does evasive work against planes? It probably shouldn't.

You can use evasive action against any kind of attack. Gun, torpedo or air attack

1. Page 11 in the rules: Ranging Shots
"The splash marker is removed when the owning ship hasn’t fired any repeating shots at it during the turn."
Say I have ranged in on the enemy last turn (so I could use repeat fire as an indirect activation) but I decide to use a direct activation, does this mean I loose the the splash marker? I assume that's not intended.

2. German command station: The iron cross
"You can use an iron cross token..."
Does this mean it is spent (and lost) or can I use every token every round?

3. Page 11 in the rules: Evasive action (in the table)
It says it's a reroll for all hits. In the command stations it's half hits rounded up. What is correct?

4. Is a torpedo spread mandatory? It sounds like it's just another firing mode and I could use just the ordinary procedure with the ROF.

5. German Officers: Konteradmiral
It should be "Eisernes Kreuz" instead of "Eisernen Kreuzes".

Hello W.! Welcome to the forums and to Naval War in general.

Great that you have provided some feedback, I'll answer your questions below:
Sharp one, and you are completely right. This has been fixed in the 1.4 version (you can find it here on the forum to test)
You spend the token, I'll change the wording on the command station
Again, someone else beat you to it :) You halve the hits. This has also been fixed in the 1.4 version of the rulebook.
Torpedoes always use the spread method. Unless the target was very close and stationary (a scuttling for instance) a ship would always fire a spread of torpedoes to increase the possibility of a hit as far as I could find. Game wise, it also makes sure that it is very hard to put a full spread of torpedoes in any single ship.

Some new changes have been added (in blue) to the first post. Updated the rulebook, command stations, QRS and fleet builder.

Right, so I think I finally managed to get the Convoy fleet type where I want it and the scenario's have also been adjusted to this fleet type. I'll post a Convoy fleet list soon so people that want to can test it. If we give it a pass, we can finally roll 1.4 out of Beta.
