Hi! I am a new member and player. Just wondering what I can do to really get started and play.
It's the first time I have played a historical naval game, so it's fun to buy models and paint.
In order to get used to the game, I first organized ForceZ and ABDA fleets. The trouble with this is that I can not easily find a good Javelin-class model that can be obtained in Japan.

By the way, I live in Hiroshima and I love Yamato, so I'm thinking of creating a Japanese fleet of Midways (yes, in Japanese, it's Rengou-Kantai!). However, I think that the size of a normal battle fleet can not compete with the First Fleet main Battle Force. You mentioned in this rule, and I want to incorporate a second fleet (preferably a carrier fleet) from the same OOB, is there any limit to that fleet?

Lastly, I will give an image of the game I played yesterday. My friend chose the South Dakota-class battleship in anticipation of the battle with Yamato. I think it's a very cool miniature. I look forward to the development of the rules in the future.

Hello Steelhead and welcome to the Naval War community!

Your ships look excellent! What scale do you play? I don't quite think I understand your question, but concerning fleet sizes: The OOB's are meant for competitive play, but if you and your opponent agree, there is no problem at all to have one player play two fleets from two fleet lists to match the points of your one fleet. You might want to decide that both fleets have only one shared officer though, otherwise you will get an imbalance with your order tokens.

The OOB fleet lists are only limited in points by their contents, so your max fleet size of a fleet list is the points of all the units in the list combined :)

I hope you have fun with the rule set, please share your reports, pictures, opinions and feedback. All are very much appreciated. If you're in the mood, you can even try the 1.5 beta rules, which can be found in the rules forum.
