Maybe you have done this. Posting your rule set on the "naval miniature" facebook page can let folks know about this great rule set

We have several NW players on the Naval Wargaming facebook group who post the ruleset when the regular requests for rules suggestions pop up. In addition I regularly post tutorials, battle reports and miniature pictures of my own collection, linking back here (to the tutorials section) or mentioning the ruleset. I do not actively push the set on facebook since I don't think active advertising on a facebook group is good manners. Still, word-of-mouth is the best advertising there is. I've seen some very nice comments pass by on facebook about Naval War.

Well, since I use a lot of 3D prints for my own fleets I'd sure be interested to check them out. I do notice that there is a lot of difference between the designers and print shops so if possible I'd like to order a sample first before taking any further steps.

Completely unrelated to this topic (wink), I am working on my own Midway fleets (expanded with the IJN battleship fleet and Task Force 1 for a demo-battle I once hope to host) and I'm still looking for Mutsu, Chikuma, Hosho, USS Long Island, and USS Tennessee in its post-pearl Harbor, Pre 1943 refit rendition :)

Sounds like a plan, I'll have a look at what I have so far if I have any of those you need I'll get some printed so you can sample them.
I do understand this is a free ruleset and would like to keep it that way. However to get the rules out further provide pdfs with the Kickstarter should it go ahead and an option to pay for a printed copy (at cost and completely optional) but that's something to discuss after my samples :) il get back to you this evening

That is logical. The problem with this ruleset is that it is a living ruleset, this means that if you include a printed copy it will probably be outdated before your kickstarter runs its course. Version 1.4 is a little more than a year old, has seen several small touches, but version 1.5 is now close to release. Another option you could consider is to provide playing aids like laser cut templates and counters, they last a whole lot longer as I'm still using the counter sets I made a few years ago. They can be found somewhere on this forum as I had some sets custom made by Warbases.com a few years ago.
