We just finished another 400 point battle and have a number of questions about the indirect orders phase.
1)when u activate a ship or squadron do you do just one order then the other side does an order or can you do more than one order all at once?
2)If you can do more than one order -- Can you rally a ship then move it, then fire it?
In the direct order phase just to make sure we are doing this right. you activate a squadron of destroyers to move- 1 order chit, then immediately fire- another order chit, then fire your torps- a third order chit?

1) The indirect activations should be played one activation at a time. Since most of these activations have no real impact on the other player (like damage control) we usually just play these activations all at the same time to save play-time.
2) Moving and firing are direct activations, so that phase has passed. After a ship has rallied, it may make one maneuver for free if it had not yet done so. Since a broken-off ship loses all ranged-in markers, repeat fire is not an option for a ship that has rallied. Only when it has Rapid Fire guns can it shoot in the Indirect activations phase.
3) all activations are alternating between players. So if one player moves a squadron, the other player makes his own activation before the first player can activate it again for shooting. Then the other player activates again before the first player can order the squadron to launch their torpedoes.

This one is correct. In the entire game every activation alternates.
