WE had an issue last night that we were unclear of. Our fleet flagship was sunk leaving 2 cruisers left on the board . They were not within command distance of each other. How many command tokens can be generated? we read the rules as 0. The cruisers must have 2 ships in a squadron to gain a token right? The fleet officer dies with the fleet flagship? do the ships only move in the indirect phase? only straight ahead? Thanks.

Hmmm, the current rules do not really cover such a situation except for the fact that you can indeed no longer generate order tokens. This would mean that the player may just as well concede the game at that point.
If that is unsatisfactory, you could implement the houserule that a fleet cannot be reduced to less than one command token per turn. This will enable the player to at least give a basic command each turn, which might lead to other indirect activations. I'll note this situation down to fix in the next version.

Just to make sure we are doing command tokens correctly. fleet consists of 2 battleships in one squadron with one of the BB as the fleet command and flagship -- 1 command token (0r 2 command tokens? fleet command and flagship?} 2 cruisers in squadron - 1 command token, and 3 Destroyers in a squadron-- 1 command token. total is 3 command tokens? Thanks this is the best naval system we have played

Squadron of 2 BB, one is fleet flagship = 2 Tokens (1 for fleet flagship, one for squadron with at least one 'large' ship)
2 Cruisers in a squadron = 1 Token
3 DD's in squadron = 1 Token
This makes 4 tokens total
