Ye Olde Reports

I'd done a bunch of battle reports for previous versions of the ruleset.
So here they are, all collected, for future reference.
Keep in mind that some things here are different from the current rules; in fact, various rules changes have come about from playtests like these ones.
Actually, reports are one of the best ways to get a deeper look into a ruleset and what does and does not work while also allowing you to reflect on your own gameplay.
I greatly encourage anyone to write reports on their battles and post them, even if your pictures are mediocre and you don't feel your writing about the game would be good enough.
It can help you become a better player while also helping us develop the game further.

This first report is a rather detailed account of a simple cruiser/destroyer clash I played controlling both sides.
A bit outdated in terms of ruleset, but you can still clearly see the various concepts in action.

In this second battle, we go for something rather different with a pair of carriers plus destroyer escort facing off against each other.
This was intended as a test for the various carrier/aircraft rules and things have changed a fair bit since then.

The third report is from a much more recent battle, one versus the man in charge of development himself.
Things have changed since this one as well, but it's a lot closer to the 1.3 release version.
It also has prettier pictures since it's not just me using my phone camera.
More batreps using the current rules hopefully soon, but those will be getting their own thread to avoid confusion.

I hope you don't mind me piggybacking to repost an old batrep too to keep down the clutter.

I'd also like to apologize for the less than ideal means of hosting it, but I don't have a blog handy for the purpose right now. I'll try to rectify all that in the future.

Perfectly fine.
This can be the general old reports spot.
Now to get some actual new reports out there...

Great reports! As for hosting Pugliese, feel free to open a topic for your battlereports and post them here on the forum.
I really do not understand the restraint most people have for posting battle reports, you cite low production values (on which I firmly disagree, your report was very thourough IMO), others that writing is not their strong point or that they wouldn't want to post a battle report showing that some parts of the rules didnt work etc. Please all, post your battlereports! No matter how clumsy, critical or badly written they are (and in most cases they aren't, really!). I think people underestimate the value of those reports to the quality of the game, they are pure gold for me as designer to see if things work as intended and to discover rules that are badly worded or mechanics that do not work as intended.
